I was selected to participate in the Sandberg@Mediapark Masterclass, a collab between Sandberg Instituut (the postgraduate programme of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam) and the Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid.
In the course of half a year, multi-disciplinary artists work on a pilot or demo around a specific theme, in this case ‘Technology as Religion’. Me and my creative partner Hasna el Maroudi developed a project dealing with the Google search engine bias (relating to gender & race).
We morphed our concept into a feminist television series with BNN-VARA. Unfortunately, the NPO (the organization responsible for distributing the tv-money) didn’t want to fund it, since they already made a program for and about women.
